Manuel Elkin Patarroyo is a man who likes to have breakfast with yogurt
every morning, he likes the world of science and research, spending time with
his family, his work is his greatest passion, spending his time between his
Bogotá’s office and his Amazonas’s office, he likes vodka cold but without ice,
he likes art paintings like those of Miró, Picasso and Botero, also reading
books by Gabriel García Márquez, Carlos Fuentes, Mario Vargas Llosa and José
Saramago. He wipes pictures of some of them in his office, such as the photos
with his wife and children, with Queen Sofia and King Juan Carlos, with Fidel
Castro, with Letizia and Felipe and with Gabo and the others in large albums in
his office in Bogotá.
This great Colombian distinguished scientist does not like the cinema,
nor buy the clothes, but he orders them because he thinks that the one who buys
does not fit well, he does not like to go to mass or music because he has a
deafness of ten percent in the right ear from 9 years old.
